Worthington Enterprises Achieves 2024 VETS Indexes Four-Star Employer Recognition

Worthington Enterprises gained four-star employer honors in the 2024 VETS Indexes released earlier this month. This is the first time Worthington has applied for and earned this distinction recognizing organizations for their commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing and supporting veterans and the military community.

“The extraordinary efforts of Worthington Enterprises to hire, retain and support veterans and the military-connected community have earned the organization one of our highest awards,” said George Altman, president, VETS Indexes.

VETS Indexes evaluated a record number of 344 submissions for this award and honored 285 organizations. Judges analyzed companies on their policies, practices and outcomes across recruiting and hiring, development and retention, veteran-inclusive policies and culture, spouse/family support and support for members of the National Guard and Reserves.

Josie Lewis, vice president, Human Resources, Worthington Enterprises, said, “We are proud to offer opportunities to current military members and veterans. The commitment and ideals of those who have served in our nation’s military are a natural match with the attributes we desire in our team members. This recognition reflects the positive efforts our Company has made through participation in initiatives such as the U.S. Department of Defense Skillbridge Program and our own HONOR employee resource group.”
